What are your ingredients for an unforgettable party?
SOPHIE: A great venue, bubbly, a fabulous theme, a remarkable DJ and crucially, a carefully planned guest list.
ANITA: A warm and friendly atmosphere (that means good food, a good MC and good company), a gorgeous centre piece, an unforgettable favour and definitely flowers & chocolates.

What's your all-time favourite party theme?
SOPHIE: An all-white one – I've done it many times.
ANITA: Natural colours with a bright favour, centre piece or accessory to liven up the theme.

What was the best party/event you ever hosted?
SOPHIE: My thanksgiving in October last year, which i hosted in my home.
ANITA: The beauty pageants i did in 2005.. they stretched my multi-tasking skills. I loved the adrenalin rush.

What's been your most embarrassing party moment?
SOPHIE: A couple of years ago, i forgot to buy ice for a function i was hosting in summer. Imagine the heat an the drinks not chilled by the time the guests arrived.
ANITA: A while back I paid my Master of Ceremonies - Ishmail Abrahams from P4 Radio - in cash. I forgot the envelope and gave him the money squashed up in his hand. I was so embarrassed and vowed never to repeat that mistake.

What is your best decorating tip?
SOPHIE: A clean fresh look always works like a charm.
ANITA: Use what you have and turn it into an inspiration

What other hosting secrets can you share with us?
SOPHIE: I keep all my parties simple and intimate, but always with a theme.
ANITA: Relax, Smile and keep your guests entertained
